The bakery opened recently in West Oaks.
After spending 30 years decorating cakes and pastries for friends, Debra Capaldi of New Hudson decided to open her own bakery.
Perfect Desserts opened at 43448 W. Oaks Drive in Novi in October and offers cupcakes, special cake orders and other pastries.
Capaldi, who attended pastry school at Oakland Community College, is the owner and chef of the family owned business.
She said the bakery can personalize cakes for any occasion from birthday parties to weddings to bachelorette parties.
"They can come in here and order anything they want — dessert of any type," she said. "We customize cakes to the customer."
Brides can also rent cakes to use for a display at their weddings.
The bakery is also looking into offer gluten free desserts in the future.
Unlike most bakeries, Perfect Desserts is open on Mondays. Hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
